Why did Zuma not change Mbeki's policy on Zimbabwe?

Before Polokwane we had Cosatu on Zimbabwe’s borders demonstrating against what was supposed to be Mbeki’s policy; now they are demonstrating against Israel?

Don’t forget that Africa is not under the control of the United Nations any more, but under the control of the African Union. Which is why Morgan has to walk on eggshells and I don’t think Britain pressurizing him was a good idea.

Half of Africa is under the control of Arab Muslims, the other Black Christians and Animists. One Africa might make sense in trade and infrastructure, but it is a disaster culturally.

But for as long as the Kwanza myth rules the slave Diaspora, the west pours money into the ANC, and so do the Arabs.

Which is not so good for the Christian and Animist minorities (Sudan, Western Sahara, Niger Delta).

Paul

I read it and agree preserving the Mugabe myth is part of it.

But I think it is more to do with money - they all have mining interests together. And are linked by marriages.

Mandela's grandson and Zuma's newphew are investing R200 million in mining?

Eventually the Mandela myth go as well - it has been very cleverly marketed by Americans. They may knothing about history and culture, but they do know advertising.

Both Mugabe and Mandela were handed top economies of Africa, because they had the most white settlers, and where are they now?

Meanwhile Zimbabweans farm workers who used to live in their own homes with their own bit of land and livestock and get salaries are sheltered on the streets in Joburg?

Lyndall,
You write: "What if Zuma does weed out corruption?"

Yes, of course, that is on the cards. Jacob Zuma will weed out corruption and do the weeding in my garden as well.

If the subject interests you, please also take a look at my very first article back in June last year, I think it was.

Bernie,

I don't think Mandela or Zuma knew anything about Kwanza. Mandela had limited reading material in prison, and I don't think Zuma reads American literature (which is full of it).

It explains all Mbeki's weird and bizarre policies, including Aids denialism (many Africans believe Aids was created in an American lab and is spread by homosexuals - you can hear them phone in on the radio).

Which is where the Rainbow Nation disappeared.

It is all very well for Cope to say the ANC is riddled with corruption - it was Mbeki's policies that caused it, and they are riddled with Mbekites who replaced Lekota with Dandala.

What if Zuma does weed out corruption?

Meanwhile I could do with fewer interference from American NGOs who don't know the difference between a slave and a farm worker telling us how to farm!

Lyndall,

Yes, the ironies of the Third Millennium.

Of course, Cosatu will sacrifice everything at the anti-zionist altar. Their International Relations Officer , Bongani Masuku, has even been deemed by The SAHRC, to be spewing forth hate-speech and antisemitism.

And you are 100% correct to point out the evil alliance between The Left and The Islamic Fundamentalists. Unfortunately, it is a world-wide phenomenon.
