It has been rumoured for some time now that Lewis Hamilton and Nicole Scherzinger were breaking up but the confirmation was finally made through a statement issued by a spokesperson representing the two.

According to the statement, both 25-year old Hamilton and 31-year old Scherzinger need to focus on their careers.

Well put together statement but the grapevine spews that Nicole wanted to settle down whilst Lewis was not quite ready yet.

Why else would she have confirmed her marriage plans to Lewis during July last year?saying that marriage is a seal of love and that she’d love to experience the whole process.

The two met in 2007 after which they became inseparable at the Formula 1 paddock.
Nicole was a constant presence in the McLaren Mercedes garage through the last 2 seasons of F1, until the rumours hit the mill about a potential split just before last year’s Singapore Grand Prix.

Lewis Hamilton is now based in Switzerland while Miss Scherzinger lives in Los Angeles.

While the youngest ever Formula One World Champion is focusing on winning the title again Nicole is set to release her solo album ‘My Name Is Nicole’ this year.

The album was meant to be released in 2007 but there was a delay and some of the songs ended up on the last Pussy Cat Dolls album Doll Domination.

The two have admitted before that it was challenging to balance their busy careers with romance.

Well it seems the scales have finally tipped and love lost.
